30 riders must present a dressage test composed of 19 figures including a rein back of 4 steps, a serpentine of 3 loops… This will be shorter than usual - 3 minutes - and riders must complete each figure correctly. Presentation of the Jumping competition - Friday September 21st

The Dressage test is followed by the Jumping competition. Starting order will be in the reverse order of the dressage competition. The course, with approximately 1,30 m of obstacles and built by the international jumping course designers Frank Rothenberger, will be more difficult than usual and judged with a table C: each fault is penalised 4 seconds, and the third disobedience, the fall of the rider or of the horse will bring about elimination.
After this event, the jury will draw up the new classification with a coefficient of 2 for the jumping.

Presentation of the Cross Country competition - Saturday September 22nd

R.I.D.E en Normandie 2007

The cross course with 27 obstacles and 39 efforts over a distance of less than 4 Km, will be very important with a coefficient of 3 for the final classification. Changes: time devices are forbidden and riders must estimate their time from experience and consult provisional times, which will be displayed along the course. Penalties will not be counted in points but in seconds (for example: 1 disobedience = 50 seconds).

The classification will be done in the following way:
- One ideal time is given
- The winner is the closest to that ideal time
- If one or more riders are below the ideal time, the rider closest to the ideal time is the winner.
The riders above the ideal time and the closest to it, will the follow.

Example with an ideal time of 7'

Riders Time Classification
A 6 min 45 s 3
B 7 min 55 s 5
C 6 min 53 s 2
D 7 min 1
E 7 min 03 s 4
