A jury of star personalities from the world of horse riding, film, media and fashion all supporting the foundation of Professor Francine Leca, will be present on Saturday the 22nd of September to "judge" the competitors in each event ; non sporting qualities will be judged: elegance, rider/horse harmony, allure, valour…
Among the personalities: Inès de la Fressange, godmother of Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque, Roland Giraud, a famous french actor, Ariane Massenet, TV Journalist…
The prize of Elegance and Heart will be awarded during the Gala dinner on the Saturday evening when exceptional works of art linked to the equestrian world will also be auctioned, before the notary Pierre Cornette of Saint-Cyr, with profits going to Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque: numbered Bernard Buffet watercolour, official photos of the Cadre Noir of Saumur, signed behaviour riders…The official RIDE badge will be sold 5 €, all for the foundation Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque.
THE MECENAT CHIRURGIE CARDIAQUE FOUNDATION
Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque Enfants du Monde was founded in 1996 by the Professor Francine Leca and her godson Patrice Roynette, in order to help and operate in France poor children who have heart disease. Greatly present since 1996 in the Ile-de-France region (4 hospitals treat children from the association), MCC is now expanding largely in other regions: sites have recently opened in Bordeaux, Angers, Lyon, Toulouse and Marseille.
Today, more than 1 200 children have been saved thanks to the generous help of partners companies, host families, private donations and numerous volunteers.
Moreover, since 2006, the foundation has set up a yearly training program for local doctors so that they may pre-diagnose heart disease in children and supervise the follow up of the children after their operation.
THE ECURIES DU CŒUR
In 2004, the Mecenat Chirurgie Cardiaque Foundation created the Ecuries du Cœur, in collaboration with French Equitation. The Ecuries du Cœur receives annual subscriptions from its members (The Cavaliers du Cœur) which are transferred back to the foundation and which have allowed several children to receive surgery. The Écuries du Cœur is sponsored by prestigious riders, such as Jean Teulère, Philippe Limousin, etc.
